Mimizan Intercommunal Tourist Office

Whether you’re on vacation, live here or work directly or indirectly for the tourism industry, a team of 8 people is on hand to help you all year round. In fact, the OIT is open 287 days a year, including Sundays between April and mid-September!

From the spring vacations onwards , priority is given to welcoming and advising holidaymakers and groups… although for some employees, this is also the time to fine-tune the last (big) details of the season. Then, at the end of the autumn vacations, it’s time to take stock (season, finances, actions…), take the team on vacation and prepare for future editions, promotional actions, meetings with partners…

Our missions

Reception and advice at the OIT, but also outside its walls in the 6 communes.
Communication and promotion of the destination on the French and foreign markets (website, social networks, etc.) in collaboration with the Landes Attractivité press office and coastal club.
Marketing of tourism products for school groups, students and professionals, focusing on the region’s natural heritage and the forest-wood industry.
Coordination and promotion of events (website, posters, program, social networks, etc.) offered in all 6 communes throughout the year.
Raising awareness and promoting quality initiatives (Qualité Famille, Accueil Vélo, Destination d’excellence, Tourisme et Handicap, Tourisme Gourmand…)
Coordination andorganization of activities, visits and events linked to the natural heritage and know-how of the forestry and timber industry. Organization of highlights such as Nuit des Etoiles, Automne en Scène, Fête du Lac and Fête du Vélo.
Tourism watch and observation, and support for tourism players.
