Walks

40 km of signposted , well-maintained footpaths are available in the villages of Bias, Mézos, Mimizan, St Paul en Born and Pontenx les Forges. A wide variety of trails to satisfy the desires of hikers or lovers of short family outings: local loops including the famous Promenade Fleurie on the shores of Lake Aureilhan – Mimizan, trails listed in the Plan Départemental d’Itinéraire de Promenade et de Randonnée, discovery trails, not forgetting the coastal route of St Jacques de Compostelle which passes through Mimizan.

Thanks to the topo-guides available from theMimizan Tourist Office, you’ll be able to discover a varied natural environment as you stroll: here a wetland, there ancient feudal mottes, and further afield an area of logged forest
