Fishing and boating on the lake

The Lac de Mimizan-Aureilhan is a veritable natural setting where fishing enthusiasts can enjoy a small haven of peace. Nestling in the heart of the Landes region, this lake offers the perfect playground for all freshwater fishing enthusiasts.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced angler, you’ll find a wide variety of fish here, in a calm and relaxing atmosphere.
You can moor a small boat on the lake either on the west bank at Mimizan or on the south bank at the port of Aureilhan. Mimizan Plage also boasts a nautical stopover where you can enjoy unforgettable moments on the water.

The vignette for the right of navigation on the Aureilhan – Mimizan lake is available from the Communauté des Communes de Mimizan, in the “navigation on the lake” department on 06 98 69 99 30 or by e-mail at navigation@cc-mimizan.fr.

Boat for launching: 9.9 HP max, 10 km/h and maximum 4 fishing rods.

Night fishing on the lake by boat is strictly forbidden.

The navigation plan and non-navigable zones are indicated on the Mimizan-Aureilhan lake (on a sign).

A fishing license is required on all lakes and rivers.

Navigate at sea - Nautical stopover

Nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the rivers, this unique stopover is the perfect place for boating, fishing or simply relaxing enthusiasts.

Whether you’re looking for a peaceful setting for a paddle or canoe trip, or a place to moor your boat, the Mimizannautical stopover will meet all your expectations.

Take advantage of this exceptional natural environment, ideally located between Lake Mimizan and the beach.

The marina, located on avenue du Courant, comprises 72 moorings and 8 berths, with secure access and parking reserved for tenants.
Berths are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis to boat owners holding a navigation permit, after submitting an application to the public domain department of the municipal police.

The pontoon at the Mimizan Plageboat stop is available for rental for 6 or 9 months.
