Fishing school: learning about fishing and nature for the younger generation

The volunteers of thelocal Association de pêche et de protection des milieux aquatiques, committed to the preservation of aquatic ecosystems, have created and run the Mimizan Fishing School throughout the year.

At the Fishing School, children discover the art of fishing while learning to respect and preserve our aquatic environments. They learn about different techniques, current regulations and the wealth of fish that inhabit our local bodies of water.

Program:
Fishing techniques to master gestures with patience and precision.
Fishing regulations to ensure respect for the rules and the environment.
Local fish and their habits to better understand and observe them.
The fragility of aquatic environments and why their preservation is essential.
Resource management to become responsible players in our environment.

The Fishing School is an opportunity for youngsters to connect with nature while learning to protect what they love, all in a fun and dynamic atmosphere.
