Take a break
Follow the hiking trail to discover the diversity of St Paul’s landscapes and the evidence of its past: alder, oak and of course pine forests, marshes, the Saint Clair healing fountain, the Tuc de Houns feudal motte (ancestor of fortified castles).
Note that the view of the lake at Aureilhan – Mimizan is very different from that from the other two villages. It’s so large, with its beautiful flamboyant hues at the end of the day.
The canoe trip down the Forges stream to the lake, after paddling under a gallery forest, is an opportunity to appreciate the immense view of the lake and to meet fishermen.
Linked to Pontenx les Forges and Aureilhan by the cycle path, St Paul en Born offers an artistic break at the Gare de l’Art, which hosts exhibitions in fine weather.
